The Beginning A mystery Virus has suddenly wiped out the entire adult population, not only in this City, but everywhere on earth. In all likelihood the Virus was manmade. Kids under 18 were evacuated away from the cities, since it was believed they had the best chance of survival. Meanwhile, TV and radio appealed for calm and stressed the need to stay indoors to prevent the spread of infection. Loudspeaker vans (like the one shown) broadcast the same message from street to street. None of these measures could change the inevitable. The adults all died. The kids must now survive as best they can in a world without adults. Many have already joined a tribe. In Season 1 we watch how a new tribe comes together, how they survive, and how they choose their leaders. The First few episodes of The Tribe show how four very different groups of people (the unlikeliest of friends) are thrown together by the circumstances of the Virus.Their common meeting point will be a derelict shopping Mall.
