Jack's Food Stash When everyone first comes to the Mall, it is agreed that they will all pool whatever food they each have. Jack shows them his supply. What we have yet to find out is that he has a much larger stash somewhere else (in the Service Area) that he keeps for himself. It is first discovered by Patsy & Paul in ep.3 when they sneek up on him and find him snacking. They come to a mutual arrangement: food for silence. In ep.5 Paul & Patsy find the stash unguarded and Paul unlocks it. They make off with a load of goodies and make themselves sick. Jack puts a lock on the store and won't give the kids any more food. In ep.10, Patsy and Paul play poker with Ryan, and Patsy is losing badly. She cajoles Jack into giving her food to pay off her debt to Ryan. Ryan is really curious where she gets all this food from, and follows her when she next goes to get some more - all the way to Jack's stash. Ryan reports Jack to Lex, who uses the information to make Jack vote for him in the upcoming leadership election. Lex wins and Ryan suggests they celebrate with (Jack's) creamed rice. The secret is out and Jack is put on trial in ep.11.
