Bluebell's Fate Bluebell is to be turned into fresh Steak In the Café Lex holds out the prospect of fresh milk as soon as Bluebell is able to provide it. Bray points out that unless they also have a bull, there will be no milk. Change of plan: Lex announces that they will all be eating steak for dinner. Jack believes they could use the fat to burn in lamps. Cloe is, of course, terribly upset. Lex takes Ryan and Jack to do the deed, but when it comes to it, none of them have the heart. Lex sends the other two away while he deliberates. In the end he shoos Bluebell toward the woods, then staggers back to the Mall claiming he and Bluebell were attacked by Locos. Amber doesn't believe a word of it. Cloe finds Bluebell alive and well and leads her towards the woods where she will be safe from Lex. Hiding behind a bush, Lex watches her. So Cloe now knows Lex's story about Locos was a fabrication, and furthermore, Lex knows she knows.
