Jack & Dal repair the Water Supply When Jack gets back from the abortive calf-kill fiasco, Dal is already tackling the water leak. But there's a problem, he needs some more wire. At this point Ryan joins the team and he has an idea where to find some wire. Ryan returns, having found some wire somewhere, and Dal completes the job. When Jack tests it, all that comes out is some rather thick mud. He is sure that after some rain, it will be fine. And it rains - a real thunderstorm. Everyone waits around while Jack and Dal test it again. Everyone cheers, until they see that they are cheering for water that is still obviously muddy. Jack and Dal are hopeful they can come up with something. [Then Patsy notices that Cloe is missing. Lex knows just where she went, but he prefers to remain silent.] Dal & Jack both agree that in its present state, the water isn't fit to drink. Dal finds the answer in a book. They need to construct a gravel and sand filter. Next day while the search is on for Cloe, Jack & Dal perfect their filter and try it out. By evening they are able to present a few bottles of filtered water for people to try. Amber has faith in Jack and volunteers... It's good! (despite Lex's humorous gesture).
