"Operation Stupid Kid" The Search for Cloe The search for Cloe has to wait until the following morning. Then taking Bray and Ryan with him, Lex leads the way, heading into the City. This is not what Bray had in mind. He wants to search the woods, for Cloe would be looking for Bluebell, and cows eat grass, not concrete. Lex sticks to his story about Locos attacking him and taking Bluebell. Locos live in the City, so that's where they should look for Cloe. He glares at Bray for even suggesting anything else. The truth is far more sinister. Lex knows where Cloe went because he watched her. But Cloe is the only one who can blow his story about Locos. Lex does not want Cloe to be found. At the end of the day they return to the Mall. Amber is surprised they didn't search the woods, and even Ryan is coming round to this opinion. Lex obstinately refuses, and seems to rule out any further search for her. The following morning (Ep.15) Amber tells Paul & Patsy that the search for Cloe must be put on hold. Jack's water system cannot provide all their needs and fetching water from the stream is their first priority. Then they'll look for Cloe. Lex scolds Amber for giving them false hopes. He sees no prospects of ever seeing Cloe again.
