The Wind Turbine
Jack has been trying to think of a way to recharge car batteries instead of going out to find a fresh one each time. And sooner or later they will all be dead anyway. He wants some way of turning a car alternator. He has thought of bicycle power, a waterwheel at the nearest stream, and steam power, but nothing that would really do the job.

Much to Jack's annoyance, Ryan drops in again. After hearing Jack's problem he suggests the wind - wind power!

YES!! This is the idea Jack has been looking for - a windmill!

Jack draws up some ideas, but he'd like Dal to OK them. In the Café Dal tries to help Jack but his attention is 95% on Trudy who is recovering from the overdose. Dal remembers the S-shaped shop signs that turn in the wind.

Outside his workshop, Jack tries to get the project started, but Dal is totally preoccupied with Trudy, and how guilt that he failed to keep the sleeping pills locked up.

Jack's impatience with Dal backfires. Dal walks out and heads for Trudy's room.
