Trudy leaves
the Mall with Dal

Trudy has come to hate her life at the Mall. She has never really bonded with Brady, and her dream of a perfect life with Bray has come crashing down. In truth, post natal depression has been the root cause of her dark moods.

Dal's sense of caring and responsibility toward Trudy, stemming from his doctor's instinct, has developed into a deep friendship. He has become increasingly irritated by Jack's apparent lack of humanity, where the whole world is reduced to scientific principles.

So Trudy has decided to leave the Mall. - to make a fresh start. Dal still has a dream, the one he shared with Amber before they found the Mall. He wants to be a farmer, growing his own food. They leave the Mall together at dawn.

And Brady? Trudy leaves a note beside her. It is written to Brady, but is meant for Bray and Amber as a token explanation for why Trudy needed to find a new life.
