Lex & Tai-San Tai-San came to him once before, "For the good of the Tribe", when she saw him working out his sexual frustration on a punch-bag. Lex's stress and frustration levels are now so high again (Zandra isn't speaking to him after the incident in the cage with Ebony) that Tai-San comes to him a second time while Ryan is on guard-duty. In the morning, Lex wakes to find Tai-San meditating. Rather than thanking her, he insists she get back in bed, unable to understand that she doesn't want to. She likens him to "A cross little boy" who can't get is own way, and she leaves. Lex sits with Tai-San in the Café... ...and "helps" with her chores. Then in the evening he visits her at the Pharmacy bearing a gift - a can of creamed rice. Tai-San isn't seduced by the creamed rice, and has come to realize that trying to tame and channel Lex's energies in positive directions is a lost cause. Lex considers forcing Tai-San, but she leaves no doubt she is well able to defend herself. Lex leaves in frustration, hurling the returned cream rice across the Mall. He passes Zandra and totally ignores her. He heads back to his room (The Boutique) and lies on his bed totally dejected.
