Jack's Wind Project Jack may be a scientist, but he lacks the practical skills that Dal had. He has just hurled a length of timber across the room in frustration when KC brings him coffee. KC would like to help, but Jack isn't yet ready to admit he needs it. Jack finally calls on Trudy, now back at the Mall after leaving with Dal. Is there any chance of Dal coming back too? Trudy thinks not. Dal's design calls for an S-shaped wind catcher. Jack has cut a barrel in two and joined the halves together. But what next? Jack kicks the barrel in utter rage, "Damn - you - DAL!" Jack works into the evening and has made some progress. There's a pivot arm counterweighted with a bucket. But the arm gets stuck somewhere, and this is not good. Jack hits it with a hammer and walks away in disgust.
